We are so excited to be able to offer this amazing opportunity to quilt with Mary Ann Pettway and China Pettway, two of the Gee’s Bend Quilters from Boykin, Alabama to LGBTQIA folks in Madison County! Mary Ann and China will join us at the Oneida Community Mansion House for a quilting workshop from 9am-6pm Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16, 2023.

This FREE workshop will take place from 9am until 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. We will provide a light breakfast, a full lunch, and a late afternoon snack. Quilting spaces will be available after hours until 9pm, if you choose to stay, you will be responsible for your own dinner, but we can all order dinner together (to be delivered to the Mansion House). We will also not be providing rooms, but you may be able to reserve a room for yourself at the Oneida Mansion House , if you would like to stay there for the weekend.

We do have a limited number of sewing machines available to borrow for the retreat, if you don’t have one of your own or cannot bring your machine, please sign up for a machine.
